What you are getting
We built this unit around grooved upright posts and wide wire decks to hold bins, hardware crates, and bulk containers. The black coating covers every beam and corner collar. You can set the shelf heights wherever your gear demands, leaving open clearance below or fitting the hanging rod above for work coats and dry goods.
- Rated to 2000 lbs spread across the frame, which is a full season of coats and denim with room to spare.
- Stands 60" tall and takes up 28" of wall, 12" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
- 5 tiers for folded stacks, boxes and the shoes that never fit anywhere else.
Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.
Why it is built this way
Grooved post joints
Split sleeves seat directly into the post grooves, and the corner collars slip down over them to seat under load. You can reposition any level by tapping the collar loose and sliding the sleeves to fresh marks.
Wide wire decks
Open wire mesh lets light filter down through the lower decks and sheds garage grit. Heavy cross supports under the wire span hold wide plastic totes, paint cans, and heavy tool cases without center bow.
Hanging rail section
We include a hanging rod that runs between the uprights alongside the flat decks. It keeps dirty coveralls, rain gear, or spare cables off the concrete while leaving the tiers below clear for boxed parts.
Threaded leveling feet
Garage slabs slope toward the door, so we tap the bottom of the posts for threaded leveling feet. Turn them by hand until the posts stand plumb and all feet carry weight across the slab.
Three things people ask first
How much can it actually hold?
The frame is rated to 2000 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.
Will it fit where I want to put it?
It needs 28" of wall and 12" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 60" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.
How long does it take to put together?
Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
