What you are getting
Thick steel tube with a black coat forms the uprights and crossbar. We run the hanging rod and shelf on slip sleeves, so you choose where they sit along the posts. The casters roll across floorboards or smooth concrete, and brakes clamp them in position when you finish loading coats.
- Stands 79" tall and takes up 45.3" of wall, 16.7" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
- Rolls on locking casters. Brake them and it stays where you left it.
Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill. Casters push into the feet last.
Why it is built this way
Steel tube frame
The upright posts use thick metal tube finished in black. The metal takes the weight of winter coats and stacked hangers without bowing, and the frame stays rigid as you push it from room to room.
Slip sleeve adjustment
Plastic sleeves snap onto the grooved posts at the heights you need. The hanging rod and shelf collar slide over the sleeves, wedging down under load to lock in place without loose hardware.
Swivel casters and brakes
The wheels thread into the base posts so the rack glides around tight turns in a hallway or dorm room. Step down on the foot brakes to keep the rack parked while you sort laundry.
Tool free build
The frame fits together by hand without loose bolts or nuts to tighten. You press the joints together, snap the sleeves where you want the shelf, and drop the steel parts into place.
Three things people ask first
Will it fit where I want to put it?
It needs 45.3" of wall and 16.7" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 79" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order, and leave a hand-width to get behind it.
How long does it take to put together?
Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing; the casters push into the feet last.
