About this clothes rack
We build this frame from thick steel tubing and rigid wire shelves to handle full rows of coats and everyday wear. The black powder coat resists scuffs from metal hangers. You can run the layout along a flat wall or turn the joint into an open corner.
Modular steel frame
The upright posts connect straight along a bedroom wall or turn into an L shape for an open corner. Steel wire shelves clip directly onto the grooved vertical tubes to brace the frame against sway.
Black powder coat
We bake the matte black finish over cleaned steel to keep the uprights and hanging bars free of scrape marks from metal hangers. The coating wipes down easily with a damp rag when dust settles on the lower wire tiers.
Rods and wire tiers
Hanging rods span the upper frame for shirts, jackets, and long winter coats, while the open wire decks hold stacked denim, storage bins, and shoes. The open grid lets shop lighting or room air pass through the whole rack.
Tool free assembly
Slip-sleeve clips lock into the grooves on each post so you can set shelf heights by hand. The hanging rods drop into place once the main frame stands, needing no extra hardware or special workshop tools to finish the build.
