Clothes racks, closets and garage shelving — rated by the pound, built from steel

Rack questions, answered

Short answers to the questions we hear most often about our frames.

Assembly

Do I need tools?
Clothes racks and closets click together by hand. Shelving uses a rubber mallet, which is in the box.
A spring button will not pop through.
Rotate the tube a little until the hole lines up, then press the button and slide.
Can I take a rack apart again?
Yes. Press each button and pull the sections apart. Keep the bag of small parts taped to a tube.

Load and stability

Is the rating per rod?
No. The rating on each page is the total for the frame. Rods and shelves carry their own share.
My rack rocks slightly.
Check that every joint is fully seated, lock two casters and move heavy items to the bottom shelf.

Covers and casters

Can I wash a cover?
Spot clean with mild soap and let it dry completely before zipping it up again.
A caster squeaks.
A drop of silicone spray on the swivel plate quiets most wheels.
