Steel slats instead of a box spring
A steel slat deck supports the mattress directly, so there is no foundation to buy and nothing to sag. Foam or EVA strips at the joints keep the metal frame quiet when you turn over.
A headboard that does the work of a nightstand
The headboard shelf holds a phone, glasses and a book; the storage headboard adds USB and Type-C ports. In a small bedroom that frees the floor beside the bed for a clothes rack or a dresser.
