Matching a chair to your vanity
Leave about ten inches between the seat and the tabletop for comfortable knees. Gas-lift chairs adjust to most vanity and desk heights; the sled-base velvet chair has a fixed seat height.

Wheels glide between a vanity and a desk and swivel a full turn; a sled base will not drift on hard floors while you lean towards the mirror.
Building a dressing corner
A chair, a mirror and a rolling clothes rack make a complete dressing corner in a bedroom without a built-in wardrobe. Hang tomorrow's outfit on the garment rack rod, keep shoes on the bottom shelf, and the chair tucks under the table when you are done. Teddy fleece and faux fur shake out and brush back up; velvet brushes clean with a few strokes. Spot clean with a damp cloth and let the fabric dry before sitting.
