About this clothes rack
We build this frame from thick steel tubing and dip the metal in polished chrome to resist scuffs from metal hangers. Parallel hanging rods adjust for full length coats or shorter shirts, while wire shelves sit across the bottom and midsection for storage boxes and shoes. Casters let you roll the whole load across carpet or tile.
Bright chrome finish
Polished chrome covers the raw steel tubes from the top rods to the base. The hard plating withstands the slide of coat hangers and wipes clean after moving through damp laundry rooms.
Adjustable hanging rods
The upper and lower rods extend outward to give long garments breathing room. You set the height of each bar to suit winter parkas, suits, or rows of folded trousers.
Twin wire shelves
Open wire decks fit across the frame to hold storage bins, folded knitwear, and work boots. The welded grid keeps air moving around stored footwear and adds crosswise stiffness to the upright posts.
Locking wheel base
Casters thread into the base uprights so the loaded rack glides across floorboards. Step down on the wheel brakes to hold the unit firmly in place beside a bed or inside an alcove.
