What you are getting

We build this frame from thick steel tubing with welded triangle corner bracing. The grooved posts hold your layout of hanging rods and wire shelves, then the black fabric jacket pulls down over the top to keep direct sun and grit off your garments.

  • Rated to 1200 lbs spread across the frame, which is a full season of coats and denim with room to spare.
  • Stands 76.8" tall and takes up 77.9" of wall, 15.7" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • Zipped dust cover over the whole frame, so nothing collects gray.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.

Why it is built this way

Welded triangle frame bracing

Thick tubular uprights link with reinforced wire shelves to stiffen the structure. Triangle braces at the corners stop lateral sway when you fill both hanging rods with winter coats and heavy denim trousers.

Oxford fabric zippered cover

The dense fabric skin pulls down over the assembled steel skeleton. Full-length front zippers let you roll the door panel up and tie it open, or zip it shut to hide the hanging clothes from room dust.

Tool free grooved posts

The vertical steel posts feature evenly spaced rings along their length. Split plastic sleeves snap into these grooves at the heights you choose, letting shelves and clothes rods slide down over them to lock solidly.

Adjustable feet for leveling

Threaded leveler feet twist beneath each base post to balance the freestanding closet on uneven floors. You get a steady stance on old floorboards, basement concrete, or thick bedroom carpeting without anchoring into walls.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 1200 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 77.9" of wall and 15.7" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 76.8" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
