What you are getting
We built this freestanding closet around a powder coated steel skeleton and tailored a fabric shell over the top. The front panel zips shut to keep dust away from hung woolens and boxed shoes. You get hanging rods alongside stacked shelves without needing built-in cabinetry.
- Rated to 1100 lbs spread across the frame, which is a full season of coats and denim with room to spare.
- Stands 77" tall and takes up 75" of wall, 17.8" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
- 5 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.
- 8 shelves for folded stacks, boxes and the shoes that never fit anywhere else.
- Zipped dust cover over the whole frame, so nothing collects gray.
Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.
Why it is built this way
Steel tube and shelves
We form the posts and crossbars from alloy steel tubing, then lock in wire shelves that support stacked bins and heavy winter garments. The matte black powder coat shields the metal against daily scrapes.
Fabric zippered enclosure
The fitted fabric cover drops over the completed frame. Its front zipper runs from top to bottom so you can roll the door flap up while sorting laundry, then zip it down to block out dust.
Rods and side storage
Hanging rods span the upper frame for shirts and full length coats. Side pockets sewn directly into the outer fabric keep folded accessories, belts, or shoes off the floor and within easy reach.
Tool free frame assembly
The steel posts slip into their connectors by hand, forming a rigid box without wrenches or loose hardware. You build the shelving skeleton first, then pull the fabric cover over the top.
Three things people ask first
How much can it actually hold?
The frame is rated to 1100 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.
Will it fit where I want to put it?
It needs 75" of wall and 17.8" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 77" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.
How long does it take to put together?
Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
