What you are getting

A plain white steel frame forms the core of this freestanding closet. We sew the fitted fabric cover from heavy cloth with a front zip, so you can roll the front panel up or close the whole rack off. The frame handles rows of heavy winter coats, loaded wire shelves, and storage tubs.

  • Rated to 1100 lbs spread across the frame, which is a full season of coats and denim with room to spare.
  • Stands 76.9" tall and takes up 75.8" of wall, 17.7" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • Zipped dust cover over the whole frame, so nothing collects gray.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.

Why it is built this way

Zippered fabric wrap

Dense fabric slips over the top of the white frame and zips closed down the front. You can tie the front flap open during morning routines, or zip it shut to keep off dust and ambient light in a bedroom or basement.

White coated posts

We coat the tubular posts and wire shelves in smooth white paint that resists moisture and wipes clean with a damp rag. The vertical uprights support the horizontal hanging rod and multiple wire tiers without shifting when loaded with heavy garments.

Adjustable foot levelers

Threaded levelers screw into the base of each upright post. Turning each foot adjusts the contact point against uneven garage slabs or old wooden floorboards, helping the frame sit flat before you begin hanging full loads of clothing.

Rigid shelf tiers

Welded wire shelves lock onto the upright posts to stiffen the structure from bottom to top. These tiers hold footwear, packed storage bins, and luggage while bracing the sides of the frame against sideways sway during daily use.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 1100 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 75.8" of wall and 17.7" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 76.9" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
