What you are getting

We build this frame from heavy-gauge steel tubing coated in a bright chrome finish. Parallel upper rods pull out horizontally and raise vertically to clear longer hems, while the bottom shelf ties the uprights together across the base. It rolls across hard floors on large casters that lock with a foot tap.

  • Rated to 620 lbs spread across the frame, which is a winter wardrobe of coats and heavy knits.
  • Stands 69" tall and takes up 76" of wall, 22" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • Rolls on locking casters. Brake them and it stays where you left it.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill. Casters push into the feet last.

Why it is built this way

Telescoping steel rods

Both upper rods adjust in height and extend out sideways for extra hanging width. The gap between them keeps heavy wool coats and shirts separated so garments hang straight without bunching up against one another.

Chrome tube and welds

Thick-gauge steel forms the uprights and horizontal spans. The chrome finish resists scuffs from sliding hangers, while the welded collar connections hold the uprights true under full sets of off-season clothes.

Base shelf and crossbars

The lower steel shelf sits low between the side uprights. Storing storage bins, laundry baskets, or heavy boots down here adds dead weight right over the wheel base, stiffening the entire assembly.

Foot-brake casters

Smooth-rolling wheels let you steer the rack between a laundry room and a bedroom. Step down on the wheel levers to lock the rolling movement when loading heavy garments onto the rods.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 620 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 76" of wall and 22" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 69" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order, and leave a hand-width to get behind it.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing; the casters push into the feet last.
