What you are getting
We built this freestanding closet around an all-metal alloy frame braced by rear crossbars. It combines open tiers, hanging rods, and a solid top deck for storage bins or luggage. The entire unit glides across wood or concrete on swivel wheels, or sits on screw-in leveling feet if you prefer a stationary setup.
- Rated to 308 lbs spread across the frame, which is everyday shirts, dresses and light jackets.
- Stands 80.3" tall and takes up 35.4" of wall, 15.8" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
- 2 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.
- Rolls on locking casters. Brake them and it stays where you left it.
Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill. Casters push into the feet last.
Why it is built this way
Alloy frame and crossbars
Thickened metal posts connect to rear diagonal bracing bars. The framework holds long coats and folded garments without sway, finished in a matte black powder coat that resists moisture on garage slabs or in humid basements.
Stacked rods and shelving
Hanging rods span the interior for shirts and jackets, while the lower tiers take shoes, bags, or storage bins. The flat top deck creates a broad platform for spare bedding and travel bags.
Industrial swivel casters
Swivel wheels roll smoothly across area rugs and hard floors without scratching the finish. Step down on the wheel locks to keep the rack parked in a bedroom corner, or swap the wheels for the included leveling feet.
Fast bolt assembly
All metal tubes arrive with pre-drilled holes and labeled hardware. You line up the sections and tighten the bolts with the provided wrench, building the complete closet unit without extra workshop tools.
Three things people ask first
How much can it actually hold?
The frame is rated to 308 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.
Will it fit where I want to put it?
It needs 35.4" of wall and 15.8" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 80.3" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order, and leave a hand-width to get behind it.
How long does it take to put together?
Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing; the casters push into the feet last.
