About this covered rack
We build this frame from thick steel tubing finished in a black powder coat, then wrap it in an Oxford fabric cover with a full front zip. The upper and lower rods take full loads of shirts and heavy coats. Casters let you roll the whole unit away from the wall to sweep or sort.
Thick tube frame
Coated metal tubing forms the uprights and horizontal spans. The rear crossbar ties the uprights together so the frame stays square when you pull coats across the rods, while bolted connections hold each joint firmly in place.
Fitted Oxford cover
Dense woven fabric wraps the top and all sides to shield hung garments from ambient dust. The front panel unzips fully for loading, with a clear window so you see what hangs inside without opening the door.
Adjustable hanging rod
Pre-drilled mounting points let you shift the middle rod up or down depending on what you hang. Move it lower for long winter coats or raise it up to leave room for shoe boxes on the bottom wire tier.
Rubber rolling casters
Swiveling wheels roll over hardwood, flat weave rugs, or concrete basements. Foot levers on the brakes lock the rack where it stands, or you can swap the casters for the included leveling feet on uneven floors.
