What you are getting

We built this freestanding closet around a coated steel frame braced with corner gussets, then wrapped the entire structure in a heavy gray fabric shell. Both hanging rods and wire tiers seat directly onto grooved posts at whatever spacing your coats and folded knits demand. The front panel unzips and ties back so you can work across the full width without fighting loose fabric.

  • Rated to 800 lbs spread across the frame, which is a winter wardrobe of coats and heavy knits.
  • Stands 78.3" tall and takes up 47.2" of wall, 16.5" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • 3 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.
  • Zipped dust cover over the whole frame, so nothing collects gray.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.

Why it is built this way

Thick wall steel frame

We roll this frame from heavy alloy steel tube finished in a smooth gray coating that wipes clean. Side corner bracing ties the uprights directly into the horizontal wire decks to stiffen the structure against side sway under heavy winter coats.

Zip front dust cover

Dense gray Oxford fabric surrounds the rack on all sides to block direct sunlight and settle dust. The front door uses full length zips down both sides and roll-up straps across the top, alongside an inset clear viewing panel for locating shirts quickly.

Adjustable rods and tiers

Grooved upright posts accept locking clips anywhere along their height, letting you set rods high for full dresses or lower down above shoe boxes. The upper bar holds long garments while the wire shelves carry folded sweaters and heavy storage trunks.

Tool free slip assembly

The components join using interlocking slide clips that seat firmly over the post grooves as you slide each shelf into position. Leveling feet thread into the base uprights to balance the entire unit on uneven apartment floorboards or basement concrete.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 800 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 47.2" of wall and 16.5" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 78.3" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
