What you are getting

We built this unit around reinforced double uprights that take broad wire decks without twisting. The ribs along each post let you space the decks to clear tall bins or low tool trays. You seat the collars by hand, tap them down, and the frame stays rigid under dead weight.

  • Rated to 1600 lbs spread across the frame, which is a full season of coats and denim with room to spare.
  • Stands 56.9" tall and takes up 40" of wall, 19.1" deep. Measure the gap before you order.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill.

Why it is built this way

Double post construction

Upright posts run paired steel channels down the corners. The doubled metal keeps the corners straight when you stack heavy bins across the wide shelf deck, so the frame stays square under tall loads.

Adjustable wire decks

Ribs along each post catch the sleeve clips at regular intervals. You move a tier up or down to clear fluid jugs, tall boxes, or small hardware trays without taking down the rest of the unit.

Tool free interlocking joints

No bolts or nuts hold the frame together. The shelf collars wedge over the clip sleeves on the uprights, tightening their hold as downward weight settles onto the wire deck.

Black powder coat finish

The steel receives a black baked powder coat to protect against scrapes from metal cases and rough tote bottoms. It wipes down easily after exposure to basement dust and garage grit.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 1600 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 40" of wall and 19.1" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 56.9" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing.
