What you are getting

We build this garment rack with tubular steel and a black protective finish. The upper rail pulls out sideways when you need more hanging run, while the lower rod adjusts to suit shirts or trousers. Down below, the base shelf ties the uprights together and keeps storage boxes off your floor boards.

  • Rated to 450 lbs spread across the frame, which is everyday shirts, dresses and light jackets.
  • Stands 71.9" tall and takes up 69.1" of wall, 17.7" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • 2 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.
  • Rolls on locking casters. Brake them and it stays where you left it.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill. Casters push into the feet last. Shipping weight 15.5 lbs.

Why it is built this way

Telescoping top rail

The top bar pulls out horizontally to give you extra hanging length for long coats. Push the ends back in when floor space is tight.

Adjustable lower rod

We place an extra hanging bar along the side for shorter garments. You can set its height so shirts hang clear of the bottom platform.

Base shelf support

The lower metal grid locks the bottom frame square and adds rigidity across the base. It holds storage totes, folded blankets, or shoes clear of dust.

Braking swivel casters

The wheels roll across hardwood, tile, and laminate without catching. Step down on the caster brakes to hold the loaded rack steady beside a wall.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 450 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 69.1" of wall and 17.7" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 71.9" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order, and leave a hand-width to get behind it.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing; the casters push into the feet last.
