What you are getting
We built this open garment rack from thick steel tubing finished in a warm gold powder coat. The upper hanging rods pull outward to give long winter coats room to hang without crowding, and the uprights adjust for full length dresses. Below, a deep wire basket ties the base together and keeps bulky storage bins off the floor.

- 2 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.

Why it is built this way
Gold powder coat
We coat the steel tube in a smooth gold finish that resists scuffs from metal hangers. It wipes down easily with a dry cloth and keeps the rack looking clean in a bedroom, rented flat, or shop floor.
Extendable hanging frame
The upright posts adjust in height for long hems, while the horizontal rods telescope outward when you need extra hanging run. Both rods sit on braced fittings so the weight of heavy coats distributes across the frame.
Deep base basket
A deep wire basket sits across the lower stretchers to hold storage totes, folded knits, or shoe boxes. Welded directly into the bottom framework, it acts as a structural crossbar that stiffens the lower half of the rack.
Casters with brakes
Swivel wheels roll the loaded rack across wood floors, tile, and low rugs without dragging. When you park the frame against a wall or in an alcove, press down the foot brakes to keep the casters locked.

How much can it actually hold?
The frame is rated to 630 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.
Will it fit where I want to put it?
