What you are getting

We build this frame from thick steel tubing and coat it in a warm gold finish. Both hanging rods extend outward when you need extra run, and the uprights adjust for long coats. When the floor needs to be clear, the whole structure folds flat for storage.

  • Rated to 650 lbs spread across the frame, which is a winter wardrobe of coats and heavy knits.
  • Stands 68" tall and takes up 75" of wall, 22" deep. Measure the gap before you order.
  • 2 hanging rods, so short and long garments each get their own line.
  • Rolls on locking casters. Brake them and it stays where you left it.
  • The rail extends, so one frame covers two different gaps.
  • Folds flat when the season ends.

Assembly: pins and connectors in the box, floor assembly, no drill. Casters push into the feet last.

Why it is built this way

Telescoping hanging rods

Both upper rods slide out past the uprights to add hanging room on demand. Push-pin detents hold the extensions where you set them. That gives extra clearance between thick woolen coats or market stock.

Folding steel base

The lower uprights hinge inward so the entire rack collapses flat. You can lean it against a wall or slide it into a van. Unfold the base, lock the bottom crossbars, and the frame stands rigid.

Swivel caster wheels

Solid rubber casters thread directly into the base tube. They turn on smooth bearings over concrete, wood floors, or short pile rugs. Step on the brake levers to hold the rack steady while loading.

Gold coated finish

We apply the gold finish directly over the steel to resist scuffs from metal hangers. The surface wipes clean with a dry cloth. It works well on a boutique floor or inside an open bedroom.

Three things people ask first

How much can it actually hold?

The frame is rated to 650 lbs with the weight spread along the rail. That is a tested figure for the whole frame, not a guess, and it assumes the load sits across the span rather than hanging off one end.

Will it fit where I want to put it?

It needs 75" of wall and 22" of floor coming out from it, and it stands 68" tall. Chalk those three numbers on the floor before you order, and leave a hand-width to get behind it.

How long does it take to put together?

Most of our frames go together with the pins and connectors in the box, on the floor, in well under an hour. No drill and no wall fixing; the casters push into the feet last.
